How Government Changes Peoples’ Lives

Give a man a fish you feed him for a day. Give him a shovel and a fishing pole you will feed him forever. From the beginning of time since Adam and Eve God has instilled certain traits in man, all men, to meet a woman and have children in your likeness. You then care for them, shelter them and provide for their needs. Nothing has changed in thousands of years except in the United States. Poor people in this country have been politically targeted for their votes starting in 1964. When JFK was assassinated a liberal Democrat from Texas named Lyndon B. Johnson was thrust into the top position in this country. I remember my 3rd grade teacher entering our classroom in tears. In 1964 most black people in this country were extremely poor and uneducated. LBJ was quoted as saying “if we start feeding black people, we will have their votes forever”. He was right. Food stamps were created and black people have voted democrat 85 to 95% since then. As government assistance programs expanded to include many other benefits poor people black and white have quit their jobs and depended on these programs to feed and provide for their families.
