Goodpine Middle third graders in Savannah Mason’s class stepped into the shoes of scientists and newspaper researchers to study light and sound in their recent unit. The students researched two famous inventors, Alexander Graham Bell and Thomas Edison, and wrote about their amazing feats as inventors and scientists of light and sound. The students also conducted experiments to explore light and sound, learned adverbs, practiced using linking words and explored the dictionary and its uses. The class wrapped up the unit by conducting experiments, completing writing activities and designing their own instruments in black light.
