LaSalle Parish School Board selects new superintendent

The LaSalle Parish School Board met in special session this past Monday to select a new Superintendent for the LaSalle Parish School System. Four candidates submitted applications for the position: Orrin Glen “Slick” Joiner, LaSalle Parish School Board Maintenance Supervisor; Jonathan Patrick Garrett, Rapides Parish School Board Assistant Superintendent; Ernest “Buddy” Reed, retired Director of Athletics College Station, TX; and Scott Canady, Principal of Saline High School in Bienville Parish.
