The first recorded burial in Heard Cemetery, Manifest, was that of George F. Roberts, CSA, in 1863. There may have been others buried here prior to Mr. Roberts, but there is no record of it. Following him were several Taylors, Annie Heard Taylor for one, and Martha Dosher, the wife of Tom Dosher. I don’t have the complete genealogical records, but have found a connection with Dosher and the Heard family which would make it reasonable for her to be buried in a family cemetery.
