On June 6, 2022, I left The Jena Times having come to terms with the fact that it wasn’t meant for me to take over this beloved newspaper of which I have spent the majority of my life working at. It was already a conflicting situation for me. When Daddy was alive, I was afforded the opportunity to work part-time at the paper while continuing to travel the country and overseas doing our evangelistic work. Making the decision to purchase the newspaper after Daddy died last year and forgo much of my evangelistic work was a heart-wrenching, soul-searching event. Still, I obtained a peace from God that this was what He desired and I began the process.
