Board Changes Policy on Weather Closings

The LaSalle Parish School Board voted unanimously during their April 3 meeting to amend their policy in how schools are decided to be closed in the event of potential severe weather. The previous policy allowed any weather-related school closings to be the sole decision of the superintendent but now a committee will oversee such closures.
