LA Cartoonist & Cajun Storyteller Last week, Mike Artell visited the LaSalle Parish Libraries as a part of the Summer Reading Program. Artell, author of over 40 children’s books – ranging from joke books, books of tongue twisters, books about weird animals and smelly animals and much more – hosted a read-aloud of his book “Petite Rouge.” Artell read the story of Petite Rouge and her encounter with a huge gator named Claude.
