WOW!!!!! That’s the best expression that can think of as we went on the Texas State Railroad Excursion. The railroad had many points of interest as you and other people in your car rolled through thick hardwood forest mingled with groves of pines. We had an interpreter on board to tell us the history of the Railroad and other information about the many points of interest along the way. We passed several small streams and also crossed the Neches River which flows from Palestine, Texas all the way south to the city of Beaumont, Texas.
