The East Jena Fire District of LaSalle Parish had their fire rating lowered from a Class 10 and 9 (differing areas of the district) to a Class 4 for all areas. The announcement came last week by Insurance Commissioner Jim Donelon, whose office noted many districts in the state had their fire ratings lowered during the first part of 2023.
