Counting Sheep

While Christy Ainsworth’s husband, Curt, concentrates his efforts on raising Brahma cattle and working a full-time job, she spends her time in a different venue; counting sheep - literally! Christy is not your run-of-the-mill shepherd, and her sheep are not common, everyday sheep. In fact, she is the first person in Louisiana to raise and pasture a special breed of registered sheep called Painted Desert Sheep (PDS) This colorful breed of sheep which can sport up to three colors in their coats, and their unique color patterns are what initially caught her attention.
