PROCLAMATION BUSINESS AND INDUSTRY APPRECIATION WEEK

WHEREAS, the businesses and industries of our communities provide the major fuel of the local economy; and WHEREAS, the businesses and industries of our communities provide the base that supports many of their services provided by our local governments; and WHEREAS, the businesses and industries of our communities also make important contributions through their involvement in community and civic affairs; and WHEREAS, rarely in the pursuit of everyday affairs do we stop to think of the contributions made to the economic life of our communities by the various types of businesses and industries represented in the parish; and WHEREAS, we feel that it is most appropriate to pause and express our thanks to all these businesses and industries, from the very smallest to the very largest for making investments in our communities; and WHEREAS, each and every investment, whether in time, effort or money directly or indirectly, affects the life of each and every citizen of LaSalle Parish; and WHEREAS, when people with vision and vitality get together in a community of present accomplishments and even more promising potential, the blueprint for progress is clear and its full speed ahead, toward a tomorrow of growth and gains, in every way; and WHEREAS, the owners, managers and employees of the businesses and industries in this parish are among the most active and aggressive supporters of programs to attract and develop new industry and among the best promoters of LaSalle Parish and its communities as a good place to do business; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the LaSalle Economic Development District Board, LaSalle Parish Police Jury, LaSalle Parish School Board, Town of Jena, Town of Olla, Town of Tullos and Town of Urania, in this special salute to our businesses and industries, hereby proclaim the week of July 23-30, 2023, as: in LaSalle Parish and urge all citizens to join in this special salute to the men and women who keep the wheels of progress in our parish rolling.
