Recently I went to a small bayou near my home to photograph some of the ducks and geese that are always there. I was hoping to find a hen duck with babies. That always makes great pictures. Before going on any photography trip, I ask God to show me some “delights” while on the trip. He never fails to do that for me. When I arrived at my destination, to my great surprise I saw a roseate spoonbill perched on an old dead snag (see photo). My heart SKIPPED A BEAT! Roseate Spoonbills are usually found only along the Louisiana Gulf Coast. Why would such a bird be found in Alexandria? I can only surmise that God put the bird there for me!!!! As if that weren’t enough, A pair of ducks came swimming in front of me with five baby ducks swimming with the parents!!!
