Everyone has their favorite teachers from their school days, and two of mine just happened to come from my tenure as a student at Jena High School and Jena Jr. High School. Understand, I am pulling from decades ago when I was inundated with teenage brain cells and still in stages of attitudinal development – God bless them both. Now I can’t positively say that I was their favorite student, but I’m quite sure they were both deserving of being inducted into the Teacher Hall of Fame. Whether I was or wasn’t their favorite, they each treated me with respect and dignity and are among my most cherished memories.
