The Strand Theater in Jena was filled to near capacity last Thursday night as the six candidates for LaSalle Parish Sheriff addressed a variety of questions during the LaSalle Parish Republican Party’s Sheriff Forum. The forum lasted nearly two hours and citizens were able to see and hear firsthand how the candidates not only responded to questions that related to the operation of the sheriff’s office, but also witnessed their public speaking skills and confidence as they delivered remarks.
