It was only ten months ago that Belah resident Carter Huffman, son of Will and Heather Huffman, tossed his hat into the rodeo arena along with his buddy and roping partner, Andrew Paul, and entered his first steer team roping competition. Although he took riding lessons in his younger years, he didn’t even own a horse before he started competing and became serious about the sport.
