Mary T. Lurry, 80, passed from this life on Friday, September 29, 2023, at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born November 28, 1942 in Little Rock, Arkansas to the union of her parents, Curtis C. Thomas and Emma M. Thomas.
At Mary’s request her body was donated to science for medical advancements. The family had a small gathering at her home in her remembrance. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that any donations be made to Wild Horse Ministries or St. Jude in her memory.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, William C. Thomas.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 50 years, Willis David Lurry of Jena; two sons, William “Thunder” Lurry (April) of Manifest and David “Dewitt” Lurry (Nikki) of Trout; one brother, Curtis “Bubba” Thomas (Betty) of Little Rock, AR; two sisters, Barbara “Bobbie” Roles and Ann Dukes, both of Ridgeline, MS; one sister-in-law, Anita Thomas of Springdale, AR; five grandchildren, Kensley L. Ford (Joel), Megan Lurry, Taylor Lurry (Ashton), Ezekiel “Zeke” Lurry and EmmaRie Lurry; two great grandchildren, Grayson Ford and Aubree Ford; host of nieces and nephews; and a multitude of friends and other family members.
