LaSalle Drops Homecoming Game

The stadium was packed on Friday night as LaSalle High School alumni from years past came home for the Tiger’s homecoming festivities. The court was seated, the band was playing, and the kickoff was about to happen. Homecoming weekend is always crowded and the fans are chomping at the bit to watch some football.

Although the Tigers of LaSalle played hard, Montgomery would squeek away with a victory by the final score of 19-12.

LaSalle got the football first and it didn’t take long for Kendryk Morrow and the Tiger offense to get on the board as Kendryk ripped off a 51yard run. The PAT was missed and the Tigers led 6-0.

Montgomery wouldn’t use up much time to take the lead as they forced their way down the field and punched it into the endzone for the score. Montgomery would score two more times before the half to take a 19-6 lead.

The Tigers would come out and force a threeand- out to get the ball back. Kendryk would rip off another great run to close the score 19-12.

The Tiger defense would keep Montgomery out of the endzone the entire second half. LaSalle would get close to the endzone, but the Montgomery defense would force some turnover on downs to seal the win.

LaSalle will hit the film room and the practice field to get ready for the long trip to Logansport this Friday night as district play continues. That trip is never a fun one as the trip itself is brutal.

Logansport is coming into this game ranked #2 in power points. La-Salle will be ready to make a push for the post season as the season is starting to wind down.

If you cannot make the trip to Logansport, make sure to tune in to Jason Peppers as he will bring you all the play by play on Sandlot Sports Network.

Hope to see you at the games.
