Margaret Brummett

Margaret Elaine Cooper Brummett, 75, of Trout, LA, passed from this life on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, in Pineville.

She was born August 12, 1948 in Jena.

Services were held at 11 a.m., Saturday, October 14, 2023, at Hixson Brothers Funeral Home in Jena, with the Rev. Jesse Henderson officiating.

Interment followed in the Moses-Collins Cemetery.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Everett “Buster” Cooper and Grace Coleman Cooper; and one brother, John Cooper.

Those left to cherish her memory include her two sons, Shea Brummett (Janis) of Pineville and Sean Brummett of Jena; two brothers, James Cooper (Glenda) of Jena and Jesse Cooper (Pattie) of Jena; three sisters, Marilyn Callender of Urania, Janice Stringer (LD) of Trout and Mildred Powell (Fred) of Jena; six grandchildren, Stefan Bassett, Shea Brummett Jr., Sean Brummett Jr., Samuel Brummett, Heavenlee Sanders and Ethan Brummett; two great grandchildren, Samuel Brummett Jr. and Isabella Brummett; and many other family and friends.

Pallbearers were Samuel Brummett, Shea Brummett, Ethan Brummett, Kevin Callender and Doyle Callender.
