Tommy Champlin

Thomas “Tommy” Clayton Champlin, 77, of Jonesville, LA, was called home to be with the Lord on Friday, October 20, 2023.

He was born September 27, 1946 to his parents, Sonny Champlin and Edith Laprairie Champlin Colvin.

Services were held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at Grace Baptist Church in Jonesville, with Rev. Matthew Murrell and Rev. Bobby Pennington officiating.

Interment followed in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Rhinehart, LA, under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Sandy DeVille.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Bradford Champlin; daughters, Tara Hudson (David) of Jonesville, Natasha Young (Jeff) of League City, TX, Courtney Payne (Heath) of Jena; son, Chad Champlin (Amy Pritchard Champlin) of Jena; grandchildren, Canaan Hudson (Alethia), Isaac Hudson, Clay Young, Christian Champlin, Jewellia Champlin, Lexie Young and Jude Young; one great granddaughter, Eden Hudson; siblings, Freda Vinson Williams of Vidalia, Benny Champlin (Ann) of Monterey, Ronny Champlin (Judy) of Baton Rouge, Vickie Brantley of Lake Village, AR and Tammy Champlin of Monterey.

Pallbearers were Canaan Hudson, Isaac Hudson, Clay Young, Christian Champlin, Jude Young and Bryan Warwick.

Honorary pallbearers were Nelson Laprarie, Brother Jack Knapp, Pat McCaughey, Arthur Ray King, Maurice Linam, Wilbert Trisler, George Nasif, J.S. Fairbanks, Grover Elliot, Jimmy Wayne Wiley, Craig Books, Everet Mayo, Gary Odom, Jeff Schmidt, Ronny Book, Mike Wilson, Paul Riggs, James King, Bill Aktins, Ray Harris and Dicky Wilds.
