JENA

• Senior Citizens’ Supper – Friday, Dec. 1 at First Baptist Church in Jena; Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Event begins at 6:00 p.m.

• Jena Christmas Parade – Friday, Dec. 8 at 6 p.m.

OLLA

• Senior Citizens’ Dinner – Thursday, Dec. 7 at 6 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Olla; Menu: a traditional turkey and dressing meal with peach cobbler for dessert; RSVP – Call Town Hall (318) 495-5151

• Olla Christmas Parade – Saturday, Dec. 16 at 6 p.m. Ms. Merry Christmas crowning at 5:15. Crowning and parade starts at Olla Elementary School; Anyone can enter a float; line-up is 5:30 p.m.

TULLOS

• Christmas Festival in the Park “Walk Through” – Saturday, Dec. 9 ; Santa will make an appearance from 5 to 8 p.m.; Music provided by the Southern Plainsman Quartet; Children should bring treat bags

• Senior Citizen Christmas Party and Dinner – Thursday, Dec. 14 at 6 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Tullos (Fellowship Hall); Menu: Fried turkey, cornbread dressing, sweet potato casserole, green bean casserole, apple cobbler and other desserts; RSVP by Dec. 3 – Call Town Hall (318) 534-6499; Food delivery can be requested.

URANIA

• Senior Citizen Supper – Thursday, Dec. 7 at 5 p.m. at the Urania Rec. Hall; Menu: Fried fish, french fries, hushpuppies, coleslaw; RSVP – Call or visit Town Hall (318) 495-3452

• Santa in the Square – Thursday, Dec. 14 at 5 p.m. in the Urania Town Square; Santa and the Grinch; Urania Pentecostal Church will sing and serve BBQ sandwiches; Cookies, hot chocolate, lemonade and a photo booth

• Christmas Lighting Contest – Judging: Friday, Dec. 15; Winners Announced: Saturday, Dec. 16; cash prizes; Call or visit Town Hall to sign up to participate.; Contest categories: Best Theme, Brightest Display, Most Creative and Most Beautiful.
