Mary Louise Norris, 81, of Jena, LA, passed from this life on Friday, December 22, 2023.

She was born May 17, 1942 in Jena, LA to the union of her parents, Gerald Clifton Smith and Zelma Inez Smith.

Services were held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, December 26, 2023, at Midway Baptist Church, with Rev. Daniel Breithaupt officiating.

Interment followed in the Hair Cemetery, Jena, under the direction of Kinner & Stevens Funeral Home.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Trax Norris; two sisters, Geraldine Smith and Polly Smith Duncan; and three brothers, Miles Smith, Raymond Smith and Howard Smith.

Those left to love and miss her include her daughter, Wendy Robertson (Kenny) of Jena; sister, Esther Smith Bacle of Jena; grandson, Brandon Robertson (Rosanne); granddaughter, De-Lainey Robertson Mayo (Ryan); grandson, Ryan Robertson (Shelby); great-grandchildren, Lana Jolly, Kellan Brown, Michael Mayo, Sophie Mayo, Easton Robertson, Abigail Robertson and Ellie Mayo.

Pallbearers were Brandon Robertson, Ryan Robertson, Kevin Bacle, Kris Bacle, Paul Smith and Brayden Poole.
