Johnny Nugent

Johnny Nugent, 68, passed from this life on Friday, January 5, 2024.

He was born October 14, 1955 in Olla to the union of his parents, JE and Virginia Cooper Nugent.

Johnny worked in the oilfield industry most all his career until he purchased his log truck a few years ago. Johnny was loved by all that knew him.

Services were held at 2 p.m., Sunday, January 7, 2024, at Summerville Baptist Church, Summerville, LA, with Bro. Jesse Henderson officiating.

Interment followed in the Summerville Baptist Church cemetery, under the direction of Magnolia Funeral Home, Alexandria, LA.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Patty Nugent; son, Dustin Nugent (Ashley); daughter, Jackie Conner (Nathan) and sons, John Meredith and Josh Meredith (Jennifer); sisters, Elaine Nugent and Lisa Kirkland (Glenn); one brother, Weldon Nugent (Barbara); twelve grandchildren; one great granddaughter; a host of cousins, aunts and others relatives; and last but not the least, his fur buddy, Bud who will miss his Daddy forever.

Pallbearers were Glenn Kirkland, Blake Nugent, Glen Nugent, Nathan Conner, Tristen Conner, Daniel Hosch, John Meredith and Chris Woodward.

Honorary pallbearers were Justin Cooper, Lemmon Wilson, Drake Nugent and Brock Nugent.
