Lady Tigers Perfect Season Continues

The LaSalle Lady Tigers have moved to 15-0 on the season with two more wins this past week. LaSalle was able to defend their home court as Family Community Christian School came for a game last Tuesday, January 2.

The Lady Tigers used timely shooting, hustle and a smothering defense to keep FCCS down. This game was much like the contest that took place in Winnsboro a few weeks ago. LaSalle would take an early lead and never look back. The final score this round would end up 57-31, Lady Tigers’ advantage.

LaSalle would go on the road to take on a tough Calvin team that has been playing well at home as of late. Once again, the Lady Tigers would take the early lead and completely run away with this game. Calvin would go down at the final buzzer 75-52, moving LaSalle to an undefeated 15-0 on the season.

The Lady Tigers will open District 3-1A play this coming week on the road versus St. Mary’s. LaSalle has taken the win in Natchitoches the last few years. St. Mary’s will be ready as they return all players from last season and will look to take out LaSalle, who is the favorite, to win District 3-1A.

LaSalle will host Montgomery on Friday night in Olla. On paper, this game will be the one to watch. Montgomery is sitting at #7 and LaSalle is sitting at #4 in Non-Select Division IV power points. No matter the rank, this is always a great matchup for high school girls’ basketball.

If you cannot make it to the games, it will be shown live on Sandlot Sports Network. Tiffany Parham will bring all the live action of the Tigers playing in District 3-1A contest. Let’s fill the stands and cheer on these ladies as they work to bring home a district championship. Hope to see you at the games.
