Candace Ann Allen Cloy, 71, of the Nebo Community, LA, passed from this life on Friday, January 12, 2024.

She was born May 7, 1952 in Alexandria, LA to the union of her parents, Edward “Ed” Allen and Betty Rose Taylor Allen.

She retired from the LaSalle Parish School lunch program. She was the picture of love and forgiveness – she always said “be nice, love and forgive!”

A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, January 19, 2024, in the Chapel of Kinner & Stevens Funeral Home, with Bro. Johnnie Phillips officiating.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Melinda Rose “BoBo” Allen; and a nephew, Joseph E. Peppers.

Those left to love and miss her include her husband of 53 years, Ted Cloy; a son, Courtney Braden Cloy (Beth) of New Orleans; two daughters, Binky Cloy Desmore (Roy) of Houma and Brianne Alise Cloy Hudnall (Robert) of the Nebo Community; six grandchildren, Ciara, Shane, Austin, Allen, Cameron and Candace; three great-grandchildren, Cooper, Sawyer and Emmy; a nephew, Andrew C. Peppers; beloved cousin, Dr. Milton “Mike” C. Finley; and a host of other family and friends.
