Bellevue Baptist Church Revival

The Bellevue Baptist Church, 515 Bellevue Street, Jena, would like to announce our upcoming revival services beginning Sunday, January 28 at 10:30 a.m. & 6 p.m., through January 29-31 at 6:30 p.m.

We are blessed to welcome Bro. Scotty McDowell, evangelist, as the guest speaker.

Interim Pastor Kim Winegart and the congregation of Bellevue Baptist Church extend this invitation to attend to the community.

Jena Youth Baseball 2024

Player & Coach Registration: $75 each player, $55 for any additional player in household. For players 4-12 years old (league age by May 1).

Online Registration: Visit jenadixieyouth.sportngin. com. You will have to upload a picture of the player’s birth certificate. The deadline to register is Friday, February 9.

In-Person Registration: Will take place Friday, January 26 from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Jena Library. Bring a copy of the player’s birth certificate.

Sponsorships: Team & sign sponsorships are available; team – $250, new sign – $125, sign renewal – $75. Contact Philip at (318) 729-3629 or Laura at (318) 3162550 for more information.

Foster Homes Needed

Methodist Foster Care serves children who have been through extensive trauma and likely have high behavioral/ emotional needs.

There is a great need for therapeutic foster homes in the LaSalle Parish area.

Tidwell Landing Cemetery Mtg.

The annual meeting of the Board of Directors of the Tidwell Landing Cemetery Fund will be held at the Tidwell Landing Cemetery on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at 10 a.m. Board members and others interested in the cemetery are urged to attend to discuss cemetery concerns.

Donations are needed now for the upkeep of the cemetery and may be made in person at Southern Heritage Bank in Jena or mailed to P.O. Box 55, Jena, LA, 71342.

Concordia Electric Meeting

The next Concordia Electric meeting is Thursday, February 15, 2024 at 5 p.m.

Jena Boys Baseball 2024

Player & Coach Registration: $75 for each player, $55 for any additional player in household. For ages 1314 (league age by May 1).

Little Free Food Pantry in Jena

The Little Free Food Pantry in Jena is located beside The Jena Times on Third Street in front of the town pavilion. The pantry is open to anyone in need and also for citizens to add items to keep the pantry stocked.

LPSB Parent Expo

LaSalle Parish Schools will host the Parent Expo on Thursday, January 25, 2024 from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Gym at Jena Elementary School. The Expo is for all students in every LaSalle Parish School, pre-k through 12th grade. There will be door prizes and pizza provided.

LaSalle Celebrate Recovery

LaSalle Celebrate Recovery is a free 52-week Christ-centered 12-step program for any life controlling issue. The meetings will be held on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. at the old Jena Elementary School cafeteria.

Elderly Care Relief

If you are caring for an elderly resident and need someone to relieve you of the care a few hours a week, call the LaSalle Council on Aging at 992-4708 between 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. LaSalle Council on Aging is an equal opportunity provider.

Wild Horse Ministries

While observing these lessons, you can watch during the first steps of training a horse that has never been saddled while he relates the horse training with God based on trust, faith, obedience and love.
