Tigers Win! Tigers Win!

The LaSalle Tigers picked up two wins this past week as they defeated Dodson 6235 and Northwood-Lena 52-48. The Tigers moved to 6-11 overall and 1-2 in District 3-1A play.

These wins move the Tigers past last year’s win total. The team has put in the work and the results are starting to fall in the favor of the Tigers.

On Thursday night, the Tigers traveled to Dodson and picked up their first win of the week. The Tigers defeated Dodson 62-35. Sean Derr pumped in 17 points followed by Gabe Stott with 13 and Drake Atwell added 11. The Tigers led this game and never looked back.

The following night the Tigers would welcome the Gators of Northwood-Lena. This game would go down to the wire.

The Gators had a 12-point lead entering the third quarter. The Tigers would continue to hustle until the final horn. The Tigers would take their first lead late in the fourth quarter. The Gators would take the final shot of the game, but being down by four, it was going to be hard to pull out the win in the final seconds.

Sean Derr had 13 points in the game and Drake Atwell added 11. This marks the first win against the Gators in several seasons. The Tigers can celebrate for a moment, but then hit the practice floor as District 3-1A play continues.

The Tigers will take on the stout St. Mary’s team at home this coming Thursday night, then hit the road the following night to travel to Logansport to make up the game that was postponed due to weather.

Let’s continue to pack the stands to cheer on these guys who are working every day to make this school and community proud. If you can’t make it to the games make sure to tune in and watch the live stream on Sandlot Sports Network as Tiffany Parham will bring you all the district games this season. Hope to see you at the games.
