The LaSalle Tigers continued District 3-1A play this week with games at Montgomery and at home against Logansport. The Tigers did drop both contests and moved to 6-15 overall and 1-6 in district play.
LaSalle will travel to Northwood-Lena to finish district play on February 6th and have a couple of tune-up games waiting for the playoff brackets to be released.
On January 30th, the LaSalle Tigers traveled to Montgomery and took a 76-42 loss. This game was typical of any game played at Montgomery, very physical and lots of fouls called. The Tigers would play catchup from the very beginning. Foul trouble and cold shooting would hinder the Tigers from gaining any ground on Montgomery. This loss would move LaSalle to #30 in Division IV Non select boys’ basketball power rankings. The Top 28 teams make a trip to the post season.
LaSalle would then have to defend their home court against the visiting Logansport Tigers. This game would go much like the Montgomery game as foul trouble and cold shooting would keep the Tigers from winning. Logansport would leave the gym in Olla with a 70-46 win.
Tuff Street and Gabe Stott would lead all Tiger scorers with 12 points each. Sean Derr and Hunter Bradford would each finish the night with 8 points and Noah Parham would chip in 6 points.
The Tigers will travel to Northwood- Lena on February 6th to finish out District 3-1A play before finishing the regular season against Caldwell and Dodson.
Let’s continue to fill up the stands and cheer on these guys that have worked so hard to make this community and school proud.
