Members of the Busy Bee Home and Garden Club recently attended the Down and Dirty Gardening Seminar hosted by the Sabine Parish Master Gardeners February 24, at Cypress Bend resort in Many, Louisiana. Guest speakers for the event were: Chris Cox, owner and operator of Pineywoods Vineyard in Hemphill, Texas; Dr. Joe Willis, LSU horticulture agent for Orleans Parish; Anna Timmerman, associate extension agent in horticulture for St. Bernard Parish and Plaquemines parish; and Kerri Hefner, associate extension agent in horticulture for the LSU AgCenter. Busy Bee members also enjoyed a delicious lunch, silent auction, plant sale and raffles.
