Final Inning Secures Loss for Tigers

The LaSalle Tigers fell to Logansport on Thursday, March 28, in part to an 11-run seventh inning. Logansport opened up the scoring in the first inning after an error scored two runs. Logansport dropped a third strike which helped LaSalle tie the game at two in the bottom the third inning. Logansport then took the lead 3-2 on a sacrifice bunt. But it was the top of the seventh inning that secured the win for Logansport as they scored 11 runs on a couple of hits, walks and hit batters. Canaan Stowe was able to get a ground out, but not before another run scored.

Brady Tatum started on the mound for LaSalle. The lefty allowed three hits and four runs (one earned) over six innings, striking out nine and walking two.

Kendryk Morrow and Brady Tatum were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected a hit for LaSalle. Cutler Ganey led the team with one RBI.

Next up for LaSalle will be games at Monterey and Northwood-Lena. The season is winding down and the Tigers have lots of work to finish before it ends.

The Tigers are sitting at #24 in the Power-Points in Division IV Non-Select and that is the last spot available for post season play. LaSalle can make up some ground in the rankings as they have several games left in this regular season. A couple of wins will secure their spot in the playoffs. Continue to pack the stands and cheer on these guys that are working so hard to make this school and community proud. Hope to see you at the games.
