Tigers Climb Two Spots in Rankings

Tigers Climb Two Spots in Rankings

The LaSalle Tigers picked up two much needed wins this past week. LaSalle traveled to Monterey and Delta Charter this week picking up 18-5 and 18-2 wins, respectively. LaSalle climbed up two spots in the power points this week with those wins.

In the Monterey game, LaSalle jumped out to the lead in the top of the second inning after Jessey Stowe singled, scoring a run, an error scored two runs, a dropped third strike scored one run and Kendryk Morrow doubled, scoring one run.

LaSalle added one run in the third. Monterey committed an error, making the score 6-1.

The Tigers scored nine runs on seven hits in the top of the sixth inning. Kendryk Morrow doubled, scoring one run, Cutler Ganey singled, scoring a run, Tanner Gagne singled, scoring one run, Jessey Stowe singled, scoring two runs, Noah Parham singled, scoring one run, Brady Tatum singled, scoring two runs and Tanner Gagne drew a walk, scoring one run.

Kendryk Morrow earned the win for La-Salle. The starter gave up one hit and one run (zero earned) over three innings, striking out one and walking six. Wells began the game on the mound for Monterey. The starter gave up five hits and eleven runs (five earned) over five innings, striking out seven and walking one. Tanner Gagne threw two innings of scoreless ball for relief. The righty allowed one hit, striking out one and walking none.

LaSalle amassed eleven hits in the game. Kendryk Morrow provided pop in the middle of the lineup and led LaSalle with four RBI’s. The three-hole hitter went 2 for 3 on the day. Tanner Gagne, Noah Parham and Jessey Stowe each collected two hits for the Tigers.

Kendryk Morrow, Tanner Gagne, Noah Parham, Jessey Stowe, Brady Tatum, Kale Murphrey and Braeden Cummings each stole multiple bases for the Tigers.

Wells provided pop in the middle of the lineup and led Monterey with two RBI’s. The three-hole hitter went two for three in the game.

LaSalle also traveled to Delta Charter last week to take another win 18-2. The Tigers moved up two spots in the Division IV Non-Select ranking.

The Tigers will have a couple of regular season games left along with two District 3-1A matchups against Northwood-Lena. La-Salle can secure their spot in the playoffs with a couple of wins in these remaining games.

Let’s continue to pack the stands and cheer on these guys that are competing every game to make this a successful season. Hope to see you at the games.
