Hi, my name is Briley. I am a student at NES. I am 10 years old. I am going to be telling you about what I have learned in DARE this year. I like DARE because it teaches you not to do drugs. DARE stands for Drug Abuse Resistance Education.
One thing I have learned in DARE this year is to always be a good citizen by helping people out when they are mad, sad, happy, annoyed, or even being bullied. Another thing I have learned in DARE is to try not to be the bystander when someone is being bullied and try to safely report it to an adult. When you’re being peer pressured, say like you are being pressured to drink, don’t let someone get to you and make you do something you’re uncomfortable to do.
First way I plan to use the knowledge is when I play college softball and if you are on drugs, you will not pitch or hit to the best of your ability because it will damage your body. Also, I plan to use this knowledge when I see someone being bullied, I will stand up for them. Lastly, I will use this knowledge when someone is smoking, I can tell them why not to do drugs.
This is what I have learned in DARE. And how I plan to use my knowledge I learned in DARE. Thank you, Ms. Jenny, for teaching us DARE this year.
