David Scott

David “Bundy” Matthew Scott, 63, of Tullos, LA, passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2024, in Shreveport, LA.

Services were held at 3 p.m., Saturday, April 13, 2024, at Kingdon Hall, Olla, LA.

Interment followed in the Georgetown Cemetery, Georgetown, LA, under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home, Jena.

Pallbearers were Jordan Lewis, Dylan McConnaughy, Hunter Armstrong, Donald Martinez, Gerald Houston, Leon Farmer, Bill D. King and Andy Proffer.

Honorary pallbearer was Ricky Guerrero. He was born March 4, 1961, in Urania, LA to the union of his parents, Dolly Scott and Pearl LaCaze Scott.

Mr. David was a roofer for most of his life. He enjoyed spending time with his family, and he loved raising chickens.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Cynthia Vinson; parents, Dolly and Pearl Scott; one brother, Thomas Green; and two sisters, Beatrice Lee and Dolly Barnhill.

Those left to cherish his memory include his son, Jacorey Vinson; daughter, Leslie Vinson; granddaughter, Keanna Vinson; grandsons, Zaviona and Zavarius Vinson; siblings, Helen Lee (Bob), Jeanette Finch (Steve), John Scott (Sue), Daniel Scott (Judy), Debbie Guerrero (Art), Teresa Lester and Brian Scott; mother-in-law, Mary Vinson; sisters-in-laws, Shirley Green and Stephanie Vinson; brother-in-law, Charles Vinson; and a host of nieces and nephews, friends and one special friend, Tammy Kay Perot.
