Storms Shutdown Parish Last Week
The Jena Town Crew was busy early Wednesday morning cutting up and removing trees from streets and warning motorists of high water, like in this photo at the town park where a foot of water rushed over this bridge after downpours around 6 a.m. Thankfully, no reports of any injuries were received from the storm system.

A severe weather system arrived Tuesday afternoon, April 9, that had weather forecasters predicting dangerous conditions overnight and into the following day, resulting in much of LaSalle Parish shutting down April 10.
