Jena Conner

Jena Louise Conner, 47, of Willits, CA, went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 22, 2024, at her home.

Services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, May 10, 2024, at Mt. Nebo Baptist Church, with Revs. Carl Gulde and Mickey Hudnall officiating.

Interment will follow in the Graham Cemetery, under the direction of Kinner & Stevens Funeral Home, Jena, LA.

She was born November 20, 1976 in Oakland, CA.

Jena graduated from Redwood Christian High School, San Leandro, CA in 1994. She received a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Vanderbilt University in 1998 and a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Michigan in 1999.

She was dedicated to her work serving as Deputy Director of Family and Children’s Services of Mendocino County in Ukiah, CA. Though Jena did not have children of her own, she made a positive impact on hundreds of children during her 24 years there.

Jena was a member of Crossroads Community Church in Ukiah, CA. She Loved traveling with family, painting, crafting and watching football, especially her Michigan Wolverines.

We will all miss her beyond words but have the blessed hope of seeing her again at the great reunion with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

She was preceded in death by her loving grandparents, Moris and Mattie Graham of Nebo, LA, and Buck and Myrtle Conner of Beaumont, TX, as well as one aunt and three uncles.

Those left to cherish her memory include her parents, Tommy and Romona Graham Conner of Corinth, TX; one sister Amelia “Amy” Conner James of Denton, TX; a nephew, Conner Jones of Nashville, TN; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
