LaSalle Parish had 19 softball players earn All-District honors, capping off another year of athletic accolades from both high school programs.
The Jena Lady Giants, who made it to the semi-finals of the Div. III Non-Select playoffs, had nine players earn All-District selections in District 2-3A.
The LaSalle Lady Tigers, who made it to the quarterfinals of the Div. IV Non-Select playoffs, had 10 players earn All-District selections in District 3-1A. The Lady Tigers also had the District 3-1A Most Valuable Player in pitcher Rheese Martin.
Martin was also chosen to the First Team as pitcher, joined by other Lady Tigers: Allie Murphrey – catcher; Hayleigh Boyd – utility; Kenzie Nino – outfield; Lana Childress – shortstop; and Leanna Womack – outfield.
Second Team honors for the Lady Tigers included Kaylin Peppers – outfield and Mattie Parham – utility.
Honorable Mention honors went to Klaire Fenoli – designated hitter and Lexi Lasiter – second base.
Also for the Lady Tigers, seniors Kenzie Nino, Hayleigh Boyd and Kaylin Peppers earned All-State All-Academic Composite honors for achieving a 4.0 grade point average.
The Jena Lady Giants had three players chosen to the First Team of District 2-3A. They were: Kiette Cooper – pitcher; Cydney Kate Parker – catcher; and Callie Decker – infield.
Second Team honors for the Lady Giants included Haylee Dangerfield – infield and Claire Bailey – outfield.
Honorable Mention honors went to Hallie Paul, Maggie Brown, Triniti Williams and Autumn Sharp.
