LaSalle Headstart Hosts “Grill and Chill”

The LaSalle Headstart in Trout, LA hosted their annual “Grill with Dad and Chill with Mom” Event, last Friday, May 10.

During this end-of-the-year event, children at LaSalle Headstart got to spend the day with their dad, moms, grandparents and other family members.

Parents and family were welcome to bring their grills, tents and lawn chairs and grill in the front lawn while children played and enjoyed popsicles and other treats.

All students and staff took a break from regular activities and spent time outside or in the gym, and many students enjoyed a picnic style lunch in the gym together.

For parents who chose to grill, they were invited to compete in a “friendly competition,” with their grilled goodies judged by the other parents and the school’s staff.
