Reflections

The grand opening of Stoney’s Esso Station Saturday, June 5, will be the center of attraction for many Jenaites and out-of-towners. A number of gifts and favors for the whole family will be awarded to everyone who attends the opening any time during the day. Six free attendance prizes comprised of valuable gasoline and car wash jobs are in store for the lucky winners. The opening will be highlighted with entertainment furnished by “The Tall Texan and His Band” from the KNOW-TV station in Monroe. Official driveway ceremonies will begin at 5 p.m. and everyone is urged to attend and participate in the festivities. The new station is located on the south side of Jena at the Nebo Road and Alexandria cut-off and is operated by Stoney Baker.
