          Lessons From the Chicken Yard        
                        
        We have a lovely flock of chickens on the Mayo ‘homestead’ that includes two roosters and around 40 hens. The hens faithfully lay eggs and the roosters strut around like they own the place, crowing and carrying on. There are more than a few behaviors I’ve observed that have changed my thinking on chickens and which I think might apply in the human realm.
