Wyvone Lasyone Powe, 76, passed to her Heavenly home on Wednesday, July 31, 2024.
Memorial services were held at 2 p.m., Saturday, August 10, 2024, at Holum Baptist Church, Holum, LA.
Interment followed in the Holum Cemetery, under the direction of Riser Funeral Home.
She was born February 7, 1948, in Columbia, LA, to the union of her parents, Pinkey Lasyone and Ruby Thomas Lasyone.
Wyvone loved to hunt and fish and spend time with her family. She attended First Church of God. She loved her church family and enjoyed being involved in church activities as much as she could. She was a very loving and compassionate person who loved to help other people. Wyvone loved her family and cherished all the moments with her siblings, kids, nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Larry Powe and Taylor Roberson; brothers-in-law, Robert Barnes and Michael White; and nephew, Eric Barnes.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Ricky Powe (Melissa) of Downsville, LA and Portia Powe Cassels (Gary) of Grayson, LA; her sisters, Shirley Barnes (Fred Ketchem) of Crosby, TX and Patricia Lasyone of Columbia, LA; brother, Thurman Lasyone (Gwen) of Columbia, LA; grandchildren, Shelbi Cassels (Ashley), Kelsey Cassels (Collin Tibbs), Chase Cassels (Ellie), Keriann Baugus (Dalton), Kandis Smith (Paden), Kayla Reynolds (Jes Saylor), Rachelle Jones (Damien) and Alexis Smith (Nick); seven great-grandchildren; special friend and companion, Spencer Young; and numerous nieces and nephews.
