Helen Prince Lee, 86, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, December 24, 2024, at Heritage Manor in Shreveport, LA.

Services were held at 12 p.m., Saturday, December 28, 2024, at Zion Baptist Church, with Bro. Jack Miller officiating.

Interment followed in the Jordan Hill Cemetery, under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home, Jena, LA.

She was born September 11, 1938, in Rochelle, LA, the oldest of 11 siblings, to the union of her parents, Thomas Green and Pearl Lacaze.

Helen was a devoted housewife and homemaker, who fulfilled her role with grace and love. Her dedication extended far beyond her immediate family as she opened her heart to 27 foster children throughout her life. Helen was a loving wife to her late husband, Billy Ray Prince Sr., with whom she shared 37 years of marriage. She cherished her role as a mother and adored her children.

A faithful servant of the Lord, Helen was known for her warm heart, generosity and the unconditional love she gave to her family and others.

Helen’s memory will continue to live on in the hearts of her loved ones, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved first husband, Billy Ray Prince Sr.; her second husband, Robert E. Lee; and four siblings.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Billy Ray Prince Jr. (Pearl), Thomas O. Prince (Renee), Mark Allen Prince (Nezzie); Sue Gill (Gregg); a special aunt, Etta Maxey; six siblings; 15 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, whose lives she touched deeply.
