Tigers Post Season-High Points in Loss

The LaSalle Tigers fell to Logansport 5844 at home this past Friday night, January 24, but not before giving the visitors all they could handle and posting a season high point total.

LaSalle would keep the game close from the opening tipoff, but the numbers game would play a factor down the stretch. Logansport would be able to pull away in the fourth quarter with a constant change of fresh legs. LaSalle rotates about seven players throughout the game as Logansport was able to rotate 12 players. This helped Logansport outscore the Tigers 15-4 in the fourth quarter and take the lead for good.

LaSalle was able to post a season high mark of 44 points thanks to the efforts of Tuff Street, Caiden Finley, Lane Burnham, Tahje Varner, Jace Corley, Harley Stroud and Madison Jeter. These guys have poured everything into this season, and they have seen an improvement over recent games.

Logansport usually runs rough-shot over district opponents, but LaSalle gave them all the game they wanted. It was an impressive effort by the Tigers and was appreciated by the home crowd.

The Tigers were set to travel to Montgomery Tuesday night of this week to continue District 3-1A play. They will have a makeup game against St. Mary’s coming up as this game was postponed due to terrible weather conditions last week.

Let’s all pack the stands to cheer on these guys that have worked so hard to make this school and community proud. Hope to see you at the game.
