Tigers Play Hard Against St. Mary’s

The LaSalle Tigers hosted St. Mary’s Thursday night, January 30 and fell to the visiting Tigers 47-31.

LaSalle was led on offense by Tuff Street with 9 points and Lane Burnham with 9 points. Also getting in on the scoring would be Caiden Finley with 6 points, Harley Stroud with 5 points and Madison Jeter with 2 points.

The Tigers got into an early hole and just couldn’t find a way to climb out. With the loss, Tigers dropped to 1-4 in District 3-1A play.

Also last week, the Tigers lost to Montgomery 78-41 on Tuesday night, January 28 and on Friday night, January 31, they lost to Lakeview 8831.

Despite being undersized the guys always give it all they’ve got in every contest as they battle in one of the toughest Class 1A districts in the state.

There are only two weeks remaining in the regular season. The Tigers will finish out with another run through the district teams. LaSalle hosted Northwood-Lena on Tuesday and then take the long road trip to Logansport Friday night.

LaSalle will never back down from a challenge and this group has been on the fast track for learning experience. This group will return all players next season and be primed and ready to accept all challengers.

Let’s pack the stands for these remaining games and cheer on these guys that have worked had all season to make this school and community proud.

Hope to see you at the games.
