Tigers Get Big Non-District Win

The LaSalle Tigers beat the Dodson Panthers by the final score of 74-38 at home this past week behind Tuff Street’s 32-point offensive explosion.

Street would hit seven three-pointers in this game in one of the most prolific displays of shooting the gym has seen in some time.

Lane Burnham would add 18 points of his own during the non-district contest held February 6 at LaSalle High School. Others adding points in the game included: Harley Stroud 5, Madison Jeter 8, Tahje Varner 7, David May 2 and James Sumrall 2.

This would be the Tigers’ best offensive output this season and was much needed for everyone. The Tigers have continued to work hard all season and it finally paid off on this night.

As the week progressed, the Tigers would drop two District 3-1A games as Northwood-Lena would down them 49-38 and St. Mary’s would down them 6626 in these two district games.

The Tigers were able to put up a fight against Northwood-Lena that would be respectable. The St. Mary’s game would be held on the road and that is always a tough place to play. St. Mary’s always play well at home and that gives the fans a chance to get loud. The fans at St. Mary’s can make that gym an intimidating place to play.

LaSalle will close out the regular season on the road at Logansport February 11 and host Montgomery in Olla on February 13 for senior night.

If you can find a way to get to the gym these would not be the games to miss. The Tigers have continued to fight through a frustrating season and they will finish what they started on the 13th.

Come on out and support these guys that have worked so hard to make this school and community proud. Hope to see you at the games.
