Mayor LaDawn Cooper Edwards has the distinction of being the only woman elected to serve as the Mayor of the Town of Jena. She is well into her third term with the last two of those terms having run for office unopposed. Making history as the first female mayor is only one of her many accomplishments during her last 10 years of service.
