Crawfish & Steak Draws Hundreds

Men and Women Fed Physically and Spiritually at WHM Events

Hundreds of people attended two separate events at the Wild Horse Ministries complex in Trout last week as the ministry served free boiled crawfish for men Thursday night, March 27 and steak on Friday night, March 28, for women.

Organizer and Evangelist Paul Daily was very humbled at the sight of so many people attending the event, with a reported 328 men Thursday night and 282 women attending Friday night.

“To God be the glory,” Daily said in his usual fashion at the men’s event. “We want you to be fed physically and spiritually tonight.” The men’s event had 2,000 pounds of boiled crawfish and 300 pounds of boiled shrimp, along with corn and potatoes.

The women’s event had 400 ribeye steaks prepared, along with potatoes, baked beans, corn, roll and dessert.

Both events started with the free meal at 6 p.m. and a worship service at 7 p.m. Various musicians and singers led the crowds in music and Oklahoma pastor and evangelist Rob Pierce brought a stern word to men about “crawfishing on God” and a Gospel presentation on Thursday.

For the women’s event on Friday, several LaSalle Parish ladies shared testimonies and messages that lasted until 10 p.m. Both services had times for people to respond and the altar of the multipurpose building was filled with many praying for various reasons.

All who were involved in the events noted they were a huge success.

This weekend, April 3-5, another free event will also be held at the WHM complex, as the annual WHM Community Spring Revival will take place Thursday through Saturday.

Once again, the ministry will offer free meals each night starting at 5:30 p.m. with the worship service beginning at 6:30 p.m. Music Minister Glenn Price of Philadelphia Baptist Church in Pineville will lead music for all three nights with Pastor Rubin Weaver of Farmerville preaching Thursday and Saturday and Pastor Tomell Hamms of Winnfield preaching Friday night.

Daily once again expressed that the community revival is open to everyone, regardless of denominational affiliation, and he is asking all pastors and church members of the parish to plan to attend and also invite others to join them.

The Wild Horse Ministries complex is located at 149 Appleby Road in Trout, just east of the Jena Airport on LA 8.
