If you have never lived in or visited California you have probably wanted to. California is referred to as the Golden State from all of the gold found there in the 1800’s. Many of their cities have flashy names such as Malibu, Paradise, Belair, Pacific Palisades, Brentwood, Hollywood and Beverly Hills. Remember the Beverly Hillbillies? As the old saying goes everything is bigger in Texas, well everything costs more in Southern California. Things like autos, gas, land, homes and homeowners’ insurance (if you can get it) and property tax. To live there, you must have a pretty good job and get used to wildfires, mudslides and lots of regulations.
