Think back with me to a day when you were in a high school English and your teacher began to talk about a figure of speech called an “oxymoron.” If you were like me, you paid no or very little attention to her. You may have had a thought like, “Why do I need to know what an oxymoron is? When I get out of high school I won’t ever need to know what one is.”
