Brookshire Grocery, Spring Market Grand Re-opening

Brookshire Grocery, the parent company of Spring Market, held a grand re-opening ceremony Wednesday, July 16, at their Jena location (formerly Mac’s), with a large crowd attending. Several company dignitaries were present for the event, including Brad Brookshire, Chairman and CEO for Brookshire Grocery, who noted this was the largest crowd he had ever seen at a Spring Market grand opening event. Many parish and town officials and citizens were present, along with members of the JHS football team, cheerleaders and dance line as well as the Boy Scouts Troop 14 of Jena. Other participants included various other school cheerleaders and free rides were given in the company’s large, mobile shopping cart. The company also donated $500 to the LaSalle Baptist Mission House, $1,500 to the Jena Police Department and $1,500 to the Jena Fire Department. Shown above in the center cutting the ribbon is Jena’s Spring Market Store Director Kristy Ford.
