LaSalle Parish was thrust into the spotlight last week as central Louisiana’s economic development agency, Louisiana Central, brought its economic roadshow to the area as part of their 10-parish tour. The “We Make Good Stuff” Roadshow tour is part of their efforts to formulate a regional economic plan to align central Louisiana with the state’s economic plan and position the central region to experience growth in every facet. Led by Louisiana Central’s newly elected president and CEO, Chris Masingill, his team and consultants toured several industries and businesses in LaSalle Monday and Tuesday, November 3 and 4, along with conducting a listening session where parish leaders, business owners and other community stakeholders provided valuable input concerning the parish’s economic future.
