A large crowd of believers met at the Strand Theater in Jena Sunday night, November 16, to participate in the LaSalle Ministerial Alliance’s Community Thanksgiving Worship Service.
Many different denominations were present with the purpose of joining together in worshipping Jesus Christ through songs, scripture reading and prayers as part of the annual Thanksgiving holiday.
LaSalle Ministerial Alliance President Heath Harris, along with Vice-President Chauncey Hardy were thankful for the large crowd and noted the importance of prayer to bring about revival and restoration to a nation.
The key scripture verse for the night was Psalm 145, with various pastors, pastors’ wives, church leaders and youth taking the microphone to read scripture and pray.
Everyone agreed that the unity that was displayed during the service, along with the presence of God, made this year’s event one of the most special.
The LaSalle Ministerial Alliance exist to bring together all denominations for the purpose of advancing the kingdom work in LaSalle Parish, with its motto: “United in Christ but diverse in denomination.”
